If the menu is anything to go by, Toro Wine & Aperitivo Bar, which has been open for just a month, is a must visit.
Their Antipasti board includes bread and preserves, while the Charcuterie and Cheese are ordered per item. Besides these constants, Toro promises something special each time you visit.
If Antipasti is not your thing, they offer Gratins, Bruschetta and Panini. All four Paninis sound deliciously tempting, but I’m looking forward to trying the Roast Rib Eye with Smokey Cheese and Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce, as well as the Braised Beetroot and Herbed Creme Fraiche with Cashew Nut Pesto.
For those with a sweet tooth, Churros, often referred to as a Spanish doughnut, dusted in spiced sugar and served with melted chocolate, is guaranteed pleasure!
Find Toro at 68 Waterkant Street, Cape Quarter or telephone 021 418 2846.
