There’s a lot happening this weekend, so haul out your planners and make sure to schedule a trip to Long Street for the Journey annual Holiday Market Sale.
It’s happening outside Journey Lifestyle this Friday, 30 November, from 10am to 6pm at 186 Long Street and the 2012 sale is a celebration of all things hand-crafted! Journey is in collaboration with their new favorite designers, PAST PRESENT – hand-made designs invented by bright indie-makers, Lisa and Dane. They make uber-cool backpacks, and design handy and hip stationery and jewellery.
There will be home-baked Christmas cookies, Xmas cards, wrapping paper, clothes for all ages under R200 and lots of holiday cheer! So pop along to support handmade artists and small businesses. You’ll be able to cross everyone off your list and find some of the most unique gifts in town.
Of course, some of us may not be able to get to Long Street on Friday, which is why we asked Journey owner Amy Smego to share her favourite items for wrapping and giving this season. Amy loves Christmas stockings, so her selection includes ideal little stocking stuffers.
