Cape Town is known as one of the most beautiful cities on our green planet, now what would a beautiful city such as the mother city be without a naturist / nudist beach present? Sandy Beach is one of these tassel free, skin is the in thing, emperors new clothes wearing area, and if you’re too shy to show much more than just an upper thigh then Sandy beach is best left untouched.
In the grander scheme of all things we do enter this world without a stitch of anything let alone clothes attached to us, it is only once we enter this world that we are named and nudged into social accepting directions. According to the XIV Congress of the International Naturist Federation naturism is “a way of life in harmony with nature characterized by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment.” Naturism / Nudism is an entire culture or religion on its own, it’s a strict belief system and acceptance which varies in its practice, the types of nudism are nudism in the wild, social nudism, nudism with family and of course individual nudism.
Sandy beach is a case of nudism in the wild. It is a beautiful beach in itself, and extremely well kept in the hidden bay of gigantic granite boulders scattering the coastline that frame the beach. There is parking however it is usually packed and visitors are urged to either come early or take the 20 minute walk from the northern end of Hout Bay, which sadly for the naturists cannot be done in the nude. The only other option to get onto the beach is clambering over some rather large boulders at the border of Llundadno, one of the most exclusive suburbs in Cape Town, however grazing on the rocks may occur.
There is no doubt that the lack of nudists on the beach of late are because of the social stand with crime and perversions being on the rise, a naked human adult today is something akin to a robber holding an AK47 for many people, the sight of a child being naked in public sends off intense warning signals and urges actions to protect, however naturism in its very core idea has no fault, there is nothing disgusting or revolting about the naked being, it is simply the mind. If you are a nudist, there is a beautiful white sanded beach waiting to have your footprints embedded into its beautiful landscape.
