We love quirky. So when we saw the Feral Goods range of kitteh stuff we didn’t have to embrace our inner ‘crazy cat ladies’; they spontaneously sprang forth, even in those who denied ever having one!
Simone Borcherding is the shamelessly cat-obsessed lady behind Feral Goods and says she crafts pieces she wants and loves. It just so happens that others share her love and are snapping up her cat ashtrays (which we think would make great soap dishes and trinket holders too), kitty cork boards and creepy cat planters.
Complementing Simone’s hand crafted range are some gorgeous imported and vintage pieces and a variety of products from her collaboration with local illustrators and designers. You’ll find notebooks, tote bags, jewellery, clothing, tattoos – in fact, just about anything “fun and feline”.
A percentage of sales will go towards a feral cat welfare organisation in Cape Town, which Simone is finalising at the moment, so for every cat you buy to pretty up your life, you’re making the lives of less fortunate kitties a whole lot better too.
Find all the “cat collateral” you’ll ever need at The Shoestring Collective Pop Up Shopat Gardens Centre, Smith & Abrahams in Woodstock (they stock the ashtrays), or by shopping at the Feral Goods online store.
