Nearly 100 of the top artists from 15 different countries gather at the Pavilion Conference Centre for the fourth Cape Town International Tattoo Convention, and even if getting inked by the world’s best doesn’t appeal there’s plenty else on offer.
Highlights include plenty of vendors to browse, floor shows (including some awesome burlesque), acrobatic displays, sword-swallowing, live music, an amazing tattoo-themed putt-putt course, and much more besides.
Various music and other events will take place at venues around the city, including the Harley-Davidson Clubhouse and The Assembly. The Convention’s Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as the website, will keep you up to date with what’s happening.
Tickets are available via Computicket, at the Convention itself or at various tattoo parlours in and around the city. A full weekend pass costs R250 and a day pass, R100.
Convention hours are:
Friday, 27 January: 5pm to 10pm
Saturday, 28 January: 11am to 10pm
Sunday, 29 January: 12pm to 8pm
