Parking off at the 180-seater dinner theatre, armed with Tall Horse and T-bone to die for, the menu as chill and characteristically appetizing as the setting, waiting for a night of rib-tickling to commence. It’s filling, like the comedians that are exclusively hand-picked, and accepted on stage only by invite. Founded and co-owned by comedian Kurt Schoonraad, Cape Town Comedy Club, the only dedicated one around, lends itself to an exquisite creation of comfortable gaiety.
As Marc Lottering says, The drinks are very affordable, with a special Happy hour menu to add. Cape Town Comedy Club hires out the venue with tailor-made events for all corporate requirements. Group bookings are welcome and the set menu options are delicious. Fundraisers (charities, schools and sports clubs etc) are welcome to host events on Mondays and Tuesdays, depending on availability of course.
Booking a comedian has never been easier, with the list of top-class South African comics; Cape Town Comedy Club definitely has a sense of humour to liven up your event. Situated at the pumphouse in V&A Waterfront, I dare cliche and say it is always pumping so tickets can be bought at Computicket or at Cape Town Comedy Club either on the day via phone: 021 418 8880 / 079 495 3989, or when the doors open, the lineup is always exciting and up to date with a DJ on after the shows for some, not too much, twirking till the bar closes at 2 am.
