Were this world an endless plain, and by sailing eastward we could for ever reach new distances, and discover sights more sweet and strange than any Cyclades or Islands of King Solomon, then there were promise in the voyage. But in pursuit of those far mysteries we dream of, or in tormented chase of that demon phantom that, some time or other, swims before all human hearts; while chasing such over this round globe, they either lead us on in barren mazes or midway leave us whelmed.

The Mother City is the hub of interesting and awe inspiring things to do. The very people in the streets and in the shops and markets are intensely interesting, not to mention the never ending incredible sights to see… Cape Town has the best of everything and reminds most of a little earth on its own. The main attractions most are aware of, like the great Table Mountain with its towering beauty lying watch over the city and her people. Taking a hike up the mountain and a cable car down again on the 360 revolving cable car with its 360 panoramic view is a favourite to many. Then if the green is your thing, set on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain are the magnificent Kirstenbosch Gardens, acclaimed to be one of the most spectacular botanical gardens in the world. They have their summer concerts and events throughout the year, the really epic tree canopy walkway; restaurants and various venues for personal or corporate gatherings, there is beautiful art in the park to marvel at and is of course a fabulous picnic spot and place for the whole family to enjoy.

Then amongst the various wine routes available you can tour through the Stellenbosch Wine Routes Wineroute , representing over 200 divine wine and grape producers within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin Classification. Shooting over the waters, 6.9km west of Bloubergs coastline, there is the famous Robben Island, Robben-island. The prison where the Father of The Rainbow Nation, Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, “a symbol of triumph of the human spirit over adversity.” With the sea in mind, there is the grand Two Oceans Aquarium, which is a serious world on its own, showcasing the incredibly diverse marine life found in both the Indian ocean and the Antlantic ocean. Situated at the V & A Waterfront, The Two Oceans Aquarium Aquarium offers a range of activities; from boat riding to diving to encounters with penguins; this apart from the jaw dropping beauty that the large tanks provide…

Apart from all the main attractions, there are the little amazing delights in between, especially in and around the V & A Waterfont, there is mini golf in a cave like setting; a scratch patch to spend hours treasure hunting, and even taking a tour of millions of rands worth of diamonds and their history at The Shimansky Diamond Experience. There is never getting enough of Cape Town, this is a city where there is always more than enough, more to learn, more to see and more to do…
