City Soirée is a rather unique performing arts organisation that uses increasingly popular crowd funding to arrange unconventional events at some of the unlikeliest locations. One of these is Woodstock Cycleworks’ Launch Party, for their brand new store, on 16 October.
Make a pledge of just R80 and you receive R80 off you next bicycle service at Woodstock Cycleworks, so it is already worth the cost!
You also stand a chance of winning a Dahon fold-up bicycle worth R5 000, a set of 3 Bicycle Portraits books, a framed Bicycle Portraits poster and Kalahari Surfers – Tropical Barbie Hawaiian Surf Set (LP) from Roastin’ Records. Winners must be present at the draw, which will take place at 8pm on the evening of the party.
Also, if you arrive at the party by bicycle, skateboard, any non-motorised transport or show your MyCiti card, you will receive a free slushie or juice from Juicbox.
For every 20 pledges, a tree will be donated to Greenpop.
The party itself promises to be a blast, with food on sale from Didi’s Bitchin Burritos, Douw Steyn’s bicycle poitjie and boerie rolls Starling & Hero Bicycle Café, while the Beer Merchant and Juicebox will take care of your thirst. Roastin’ Records will provide the tunes.
